Diablo 2 Ladder Reset on 28.9.
by admin on Sep.15, 2010, under Diablo 2 News
The Diablo II ladder reset will be starting on September 28 When reset, all ladder characters will be moved to non-ladder. To play in the new ladder season you will need to create a new character.
Blizzard is planning a new ladder reset. In order for the current season was really not very long - it remains to be seen what awaits us in innovations. Maybe Blizzard is also the current Ladder (incl. Publicdupe) somewhat dissatisfied.
Just write in the comments if you are interested in a team again.
Diablo 2 rollback fixed?
by admin on Mar.26, 2010, under Diablo 2 News
Blizzard seems to have solved a few minutes before rolling back into Diablo 2. The servers are stable again, and there are no degrees available rollbacks more.
The trigger was a public cheat method could be repeated with some of the scammers their rune words (or Rune quest) repeatedly until the desired result.
Thank you Blizzard, this time was that responded so quickly. In the past, for example, when Aurenstack-Dupe and co. different. If not what should arise, we of course keep you up to date.
Diablo 3 in 2012?
by admin on Mar.16, 2010, under News Diablo 2 , Diablo 3 News
Blizzard has announced just the 1.13 patch incl ladder reset, but you read something in the Battle.net forum, so the story more interesting.
How many of you know of a ladder season usually lasts at least 1 year. Bashiok said could now bring in a proposed topic for a possible patch 1.14, the additional balance changes.
I think it's widely recognized that some new content for end game is a desired addition. It's not something we could include in this patch for many reasons, but we do have plans to continue full point release patches (ie 1.14). What could those containment is still up in the air, but we have plans. Diabolical plan! MUWAHAHAHAHAHA (Source)
Since there are dealing with major changes, this should not be possible without ladder reset. Diablo 3 would be published shortly after a Diablo 2 Patch to reset incl relatively meaningless, so that we would be in a full season already at 1:14 a release date of 03/2012.
The hope remains, of course, that it is 2 short seasons is to be completed no later than 10 years together by Lord of Destruction (29.06.2011). For more information, there will be probably only to BlizzCon, allegedly on 22 * - 23 October to take place.
*) A webmaster of the Anaheim Convention Center had some time ago a hasty announcement posted online, and shortly thereafter removed.
Diablo 2 Ladder Reset at 23.03.
by admin on Mar.16, 2010, under Diablo 2 News
Patch 1.13 b (or c yet!) Is on the way. At 23.03. the ladder season rebooted and the patch migrates from the Public Test Realm playing on the realms.
As always, all your ladder chars on Ladder-Chars. If you are looking for a group for the reset, so please check in the following topic.
Find details of Patchlog 1.13b her here . Presumably, however, Blizzard will publish the (still secret) version of c, the new items and quests would involve perhaps.
Have fun!
We will be resetting the Diablo II ladder on June 23 with the release of patch 1.13. We anticipate all Diablo II realms to be reset down for approximately six hours during the. More specific information on realm availability on the day of the reset will be posted in the Battle.net Status Forum. When the ladder is reset, all existing ladder characters will be converted to non-ladder. All characters and items being converted to non-ladder will remain intact, but once converted these characters will no longer have access to ladder content search as creating ladder-only rune words. For more information on ladder characters please visit the Arreat Summit Realm Character Types page at http://classic.battle.net/diablo2exp/basics/charactertypes.shtml (Source: Battle.net Forum)

Diablo 2 - The chance to drop runes
by admin on Dec.11, 2009, under Diablo 2 News
Already in the release note was seen that the drop chance runes to improve general.
From the patch files has user "Dazmogan" now read the current values:
- Zod - x4
- Jah & Cham - x3
- Sur & Ber - x2, 3
- Ohm & Lo - x1, 78
- Gul & Vex - x1, 45
- If time & - x1, 18
Thus, the drop rate increases are less dramatic than many expected. A big difference will probably find only the most active players among you who are regular Highrunes.
It remains to be seen whether it is really the last dupe method was corrected by the Realm. Otherwise, a balance of rune drops were quickly down the drain.

Diablo 2 Patch 1.13 - Not a big treasure chest
by admin on Nov.19, 2009, under Diablo 2 News
Already a few weeks ago heard that they were at Blizzard worried about the performance problems that could arise from a larger treasure chest. That now appears to have confirmed, as Bashiok announced that they will no longer be a part of the new patches.
We've recently completed a revised version of the Diablo II patch that removes the 1:13 Increased stash size. A larger stash will unfortunately no longer be a feature included in the patch due to the previously mentioned 1:13 concerns. As higher priority work continues on Warcraft III, we're hoping to complete our quality assurance tests for the 1:13 the next few weeks to patch. But as always, the types of issues that may appear and take higher priority are rarely foreseeable. We continue to plan a release based on our best intentions.
Once again, the Diablo 2 community so be patient because of Warcraft. But what is already half a year late? ![]()
Diablo 2 Patch 1.13 - problem with the 10 * 12 box?
by admin on Oct.01, 2009, under Diablo 2 News
Bashiok commented on Battle.net Forum on progress with the new 1.13 patch of Diablo second The plan was a new treasure chest with 10 * 12 fields, among other things that should be a main feature of the new patch.
(Or could be) exactly the case but could now delay the patch, since the Battle.net servers are not designed for the new flood of data. Blizzard wants to test this now, to avoid stability problems.
The Diablo II patch is on temporary hold 1:13 while we investigate potential impact on the Battle.net service. As we moved closer to launching the patch concerns grew that to increase in the player stash size (a feature in the patch) could compromise the Diablo II Battle.net service. The hardware and configuration could potentially not handle the Increased stash size gracefully under heavy load. Currently we're investigating potential impact as it is one of the larger content features in the patch and we're hoping it can remain a part of the release. If it does have to be removed it will require additional time to remove it, generate new patches, and test, Which Will add time before we can go live on the PTR.
We're hoping to have our final decision on a diagnostics and how we'll be moving forward decided by early next week and we'll have an update for you at that time.
The question remains whether a small hardware upgrade is not better (and maybe even cheaper) would be when the development of another version of the patch.
Even a lower maximum number of games per server would probably not be a problem. Those who have long played Diablo 2 is still able to remember the waiting list (if the player position). This affected only the very fast runs (as they are often carried out by bots) and reduce the already adverse trade games a la "Offer X search Y".
So let us press our fingers crossed that Blizzard is not ruined because of additional costs € 500 for all new server patch.
