Diablo 2 Patch 1.13 (release date)
by admin on Mar.18, 2009, under Diablo 3 News , Diablo universe
Almost every day, ask the user Battle.net forum for an ETA for patch 1.13.
Now the community manager Bashiok in one of many topics has again asked to speak:
Given Hrm, well I would not expect an ETA to be. Development time on this patch is going to be tight, but regardless of how much time is spent on development alone, the testing could toss it back and forth for an indeterminate amount of time. Such is the fact of development and release.
Not that anyone's going to read this, and not like it makes a difference now to the 72 page thread in the suggestion forum, but it seems the text describing the patch was misunderstood by some. Underlining 'content' Seemed to give some the impression that we are purely looking for suggestions to add a new act, or a new dungeon, or that there would not be any changes that one would not consider 'content' such as fixing bugs . That was not the intent. A content patch is simply a description for a patch that is a major release, and not a patch that only makes minor corrections, fixes and tweaks. That does not mean that those corrections, fixes, and tweaks are not so what we were looking for though.
The ambiguity therein of what that means specifically to the bugs and all content you have in your noggins makes the head swim, but that's about as well as I can put it without promising one thing or another.
Bashiok expected at any time of the announcement of expected completion. The development time for the patch will be extremely tight, but the number of tests can still throw the release date for an indeterminate time back.
One should also not let the term "content patch" misdirect. A content patch describes only that it is a major release. Small patches (eg, 1:12 aka "NoCD") would contain only a few small changes. What content except 1.13 of the (relatively safe) greater treasure chest does not, we just have to wait. It depends all on how the feature cut on the test realm.
Unfortunately, he does not say anything about why the patch was removed briefly from Team Diablo 2. Does it perhaps with a planned Diablo 3 Beta on the BlizzCon do? As you may know, there has been at every one BlizzCon beta key for an upcoming game. Since Starcraft II Keys in 2008 were awarded and no WoW addon is announced, it could also run on Diablo 3 addition.
What do you think of this theory?

Hey,
Surely I'm not a suck-and this is the first time that I make a comment on a website leave behind, but I must thank you!
By next Tuesday I have to prepare another article - your blog post here, I was fairly supported.
For this reason, I would like to ask if I could use this post with a link or source?
